Halimah Wright Artist Profile

Halimah has one of the most niche and cool markets Matboard and More has even seen! She creates artistic educational posters for Dentists and uses our mattes for display!

I’ve been an artist as far back as I can remember. Creating pottery out of mud in the backyard, mashing wild berries to make paint, helping my mom paint walls in the house, decorating rooms, etc.

I always knew that whatever profession I would choose, I would incorporate art into it. I became a dental hygienist 10 years ago and had to figure out how to express my artistic side. I started an art company, Kouink®, where I design educational and entertaining dental posters. Posters are translated into Mandarin, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Marina Mozhayeva Artist Profile

I am a full-time artist working  in my home studio.  My preferences in art are rooted in the St. Petersburg’s tradition of painting, which developed from the ideas of the Russian Avant-Garde. In my childhood and youth I was fortunate to study under Solomon Levin who was a well known art teacher/artist in St. Petersburg (former Leningrad, my home city). I have lived in US since 1998. I am a member of Associate Artists of Pittsburgh and show my works at exhibitions and Pittsburgh’s galleries.

Best wishes,
Marina Mozhayeva

Debra Marejka Artist Profile

My name is Debra Marejka & I live in Quebec, Canada. I am an amateur artist preferring to paint in acrylics & a very loose style.

Brushes are tend to be optional for me, as I usually find my self using my fingers, old plastic cards & sometimes even twigs!

Painting for me, is a true pleasure & if someone looks at one of my works & smiles or laughs, then I consider it “mission accomplished”.

Rick Angeloni Artist Profile

Rick’s Bio

I am a Creative Director and Designer living and working in Princeton, NJ. My background includes a BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art with a concentration in Graphic Design. I have always had a fascination with photography and recently started using the iPhone as my main instrument for composing, shooting and developing all my work. Photos are displayed as 3 x 3-inch squares to approximate how they are viewed in today’s world of smartphones. My subjects range from landscapes to typographic oddities seen around us, but taken for granted, every day. My goal is translate principles and foundations of graphic design to photography by means of order, symmetry, scale and clarity to communicate a new feeling.

Marnie Reynolds-Bourque Artist Profile

Marnie Reynolds-Bourque has been a customer of Matboard and More for nearly 2 years.  She does incredibly unique pop up art!  Marnie shares her bio below.  Visit Marnie’s Etsy and Website.
I am a self taught artist that paints the things I love. I find lots of enjoyment painting subjects I love and hope it shows in my work.  I strive to create art that reminds you of a wonderful vacation, favorite memory, or just compliments your home.
These pop art prints are scans of original paintings created by me, then printed and matted. I then print an additional section, to create a “pop” effect. I love bright colors, so my finished product is colorful and eye catching.
